Clocks go back cycle safety roadshow
Clocks go back cycle safety roadshow
Join us for a cycle safety roadshow on Monday 26 October between 4.30 - 6pm, taking place on Embankment opposite Hamilton House.
Cycling to or in the Square Mile on Monday next week?
Join us and our partners for a security cycle marking and cycle safety event.
Date: Monday 26 October
Time: 4.30 - 6pm
Where: Taking place on Embankment opposite Hamilton House
Bring along your cycles, get a free Dr Bike and have your cycle security marked by the City of London Police! Registering on BikeRegister means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen.
The City of London Police will also have an ‘exchanging places’ activity, whereby they’ll bring virtual reality headsets that will show cyclists what drivers can and can’t see on the road and allow them to stay visible and safe.
Dr Bike will be available to check your cycle is roadworthy and safe. They will fix any minor issues and give you advice on any extra work what needs doing at a bike shop.
The City of London Corporation's friendly and approachable team and partners will be there to offer advice on staying safe while cycling in the City, especially if you are thinking of cycling back to work.
So come talk to us!
Please note: If the event gets busy and maintaining social distancing becomes difficult, event staff will put limits in place. They may ask some visitors to leave and return at a later time, and/or suspend some (or all) activities and leave the event, if necessary. If you attend the event please follow national guidelines and keep people safe.
With the evenings getting darker, we hope you have reliable lights on your bikes and are staying visible, especially when riding your cycles in low light and busy areas.
Remember that the Clocks go back on Sunday.
