This July the Square Mile will play host to an exciting Twenty20 Cricket match when the Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman William Russell takes on his brother, actor Damian Lewis OBE, in what is sure to be a thrilling match.
The charity event in aid of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal will see the Lord Mayor and Damian Lewis captain opposing sides, the Lord Mayor’s XI and Bobby Axelrod’s XI, for a bit of friendly family rivalry. The captains will be joined by a selection of top sportsmen and friends for the event which is taking place within the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company.
Amongst those watching the action on the day include cricket greats David Gower, Michael Holding and Jonathan Agnew and you could be joining them.
Alongside a great game of cricket to watch, which is comprised of two innings, there will also be a BBQ lunch afterwards, a pay bar and other fun opportunities throughout the day to keep the whole family entertained.
It is the perfect day out for sporting fans, friends and families, with under 12’s able to come along for free.
