Road Safety Week 2018
Join us on Wednesday 21 November
From 12:00 - 2:00 pm
Where: Whitecross Place opposite Hop, on Broadgate campus
Road Safety Week is the UK's biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake, the road safety charity.
This year Sir Robert McAlpine, The City of London Police, City of London Corporation and the Metropolitan Police have teamed up to run a lunch time roadshow to remind everyone of this year’s theme: to be #BikeSmart
- Virtual Reality Exchanging Places – see blind spots of a standard lorry.
- Road safety advice and information
- Chance to sign up for Free Cycle Skills
- City of London Police Bike marking
Cyclists and motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users in the UK, with more than 100 riders injured every day in needless, preventable collisions. Road Safety Week aims to inspire thousands of organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the Week and beyond.
Living Streets, Transport for London and Sir Robert McAlpine will be supporting this event by hosting a number of private walks across the City highlighting best practice in construction and raising awareness.
Stay safe and join us for #RoadSafetyWeek this November.
