London Road Safety Council (LRSC) signs up to Amazon Smile.

AmazonSmile operated by Amazon lets customers donate to their favourite charitable organisations, at no cost. For frequent Amazon users, this additional perk is a great way to give back to the community. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases and to date over £4.6 million has already been donated to charities.

Why have the LRSC taken this step?

Cllr Teji Barnes, chair of the LRSC, said:

“The aim of the LRSC is to reduce the number of casualties on the Capital’s roads by providing a forum to discuss road safety issues, delivering projects and promoting resources and publicity materials. The money raised through the AmazonSmile initiative will help the organisation massively in its efforts to reach that aim and improve safety for all road users.”

How can you support this initiative?

1. Go to AmazonSmile and select LRSC as the charitable organisation.
2. Once you have chosen, all you have to do is shop as you would normally do and purchases made through smile.amazon.co.uk will be eligible to generate donations.
